Editorial Manager® (EM), Aries Systems’ manuscript submission and peer review tracking system, is equipped with powerful configuration settings, providing publishers the ability to independently customize their journal sites to best suit their needs at no additional cost. However, journal offices may not be aware of the many features available within the system designed to enhance user workflows. To ensure customers are getting the most out of their EM deployments, the Aries Client Services team offers complimentary journal site audits.

The Aries Audit team conducts a thorough evaluation of a customer’s existing EM/PM deployment and solicits feedback directly from customers. The process includes:

• A 15-20 minute introduction call to discuss details of the audit and the process
• An in-depth 45 minute-1 hour discovery call with an individual who is knowledgeable about the workflow
• A follow-up open-ended questionnaire for additional context

The collected information and site analysis are then processed against a robust master template of all existing system functionality. Following the assessment, customers are provided a detailed report of recommendations built to optimize configurations for their unique workflow. The report is delivered within four to six weeks of receiving the questionnaire responses, and typically includes highlights of disabled features and configuration options with descriptions on how to incorporate them to address specific workflow challenges or pain-points noted during the assessment.

To request a formal site audit, customers are asked to contact their Aries Account Coordinator (AC). The Audit team manages the audit queue and will notify customers via email (with their AC copied) once a spot becomes available, as audits are conducted on a first-come-first-serve basis.
